Dangerous Goods Courses & CBTA
The world of Dangerous Goods is now changing and with the introduction of the Competency Based Training Approach (CBTA) introduced by IATA there is more focus on achieving a greater level of competence in an operational environment as opposed to simply passing an exam.
We offer 3 courses for the initial Dangerous Goods qualifications

Dangerous Goods Awareness
Our basic course is delivered using either our online platform or via teams or zoom, this covers basic recognition of hazards and an understanding of what Dangerous Goods actually are. This course is mandatory for all staff who come into contact with Dangerous Goods under current CAA regulations.

Dangerous Good Full and Refresher
This is the advanced 2 or 3-day course. This is aimed at frontline operational and warehouse staff who have the responsibility for either booking and/or checking and where necessary carrying out acceptance checks.
The initial courses are 3 days in the classroom with refresher courses being 2 days, these courses are taught using actual shipment examples to provide real world examples of Dangerous Goods shipments.
We teach Dangerous Goods in a unique way from every other training company by teaching an understanding of the subject as opposed to simply being focused on passing an exam at the end of the course, this provides a deeper knowledge of the regulations and works extremely well with the new IATA Competency Based Training and Assessment criteria that employers are now required to adopt.

IATA CBTA
We also offer a service to audit and provide a training needs analysis for the new IATA CBTA which has come in this year, this includes a DG “health check” to ensure the appropriate people are not only trained to the correct level but also understand their roles and responsibilities in processing DG shipments.
An audit is prepared to meet the CAA audit standards and allow companies to ensure that the relevant training requirements are met under the new scheme
